ISA endorses ALAS, expressing solidarity with university members imprisoned in Guatemala

The International Sociological Association (ISA) endorses the Latin American Sociology Association - ALAS, expressing its solidarity with Dr. Eduardo Antonio Velásquez Carrera, former ALAS president, Guatemalan professor, and researcher, and with other university community members who were arrested and imprisoned in Guatemala for defending the autonomy of the University of San Carlos, the only public university in the country.
