Abstract

This study was carried out in the village Pindi Baha ud Din of District Mandi Baha ud Din. The main purpose of the present research was to analyze the Socio-Economic determinants of Civic Engagement. To achieve the objectives, researcher has used different methods of data collection. A sample size of forty-six respondents was selected by using the purposive sampling technique from the locale to conduct the study. The findings of the study suggest that there was adequate level of civic engagement in the area. Age of the respondents was the most important and influential determinant of civic engagement. Aged people were more civically engaged as compare to young ones and people become more civically engaged as they grow old. Other determinants were including family, education, occupation, economic status and household accessories of the respondents. It was concluded that people need awareness regarding civic engagement activities.
